DESCRIPTION:New work by Virginie Mecene is premiering October 6th\, 2019\, at L’Auditori\, Barcelona\, Spain. “Homenaje a Martha Graham” is a full evening length work that features 10 solos accompanied by live music from the album “Homenaje a Martha Graham”\, composed by Ramòn Humet. Opéra singer Sarah Maria Sun\, phenomenal dancer Peiju Chien-Pott\, and musicians will share the stage. The collaboration also includes costumes by Karen Young and film footages by Darshan Singh Bhuller. The music is based on the poetry by Mario Lucarda. The new solo\, Ekstasis\, re-imagined by Virginie Mecene for the Martha Graham Dance Company is one of the solos featured. \n
